This annual sail was started in the 60’s by Bill Sloman as an event where every boat owning club member would get a chance to sail all at the same time and everyone would have a chance to finish first and all nearly at the same time. It’s a “pursuit” start so everyone gets an assigned starting time in minutes and seconds after the staring signal. Slower rated boats start early and the hot shot racer guys have to wait till the end to get going. Make sure you know your boats starting time (they’ll be posted on the NSSC Website, club bulletin board inside and the race notice board outside).
The registration for this race is FREE to all NSSC members. So when you register you will be asked of purchase a package, but there is not cost to ths package . . . we just want to know who's joining the fun!
